I'm doing things this weekend!

Today: Babysitting, then a football game (I know) then a dance for a couple hours. Tomorrow: Homework, hooboy, but it's for English that I assigned myself so it's okay - mini reflection on After London Part I, and more NaNoWriMo character sketching, whee. Sunday: HALLOWEEN SHOPPING WHOAMG. So psyched! I actually have a life this weekend! :D

Also, icons. Courtesy of my hacked Macromedia Fireworks. I are such delinquent omg.

Whee. The only thing that could make my life better right now would be...a boy, yes. God dammit. Especially that boy. Yes, you know the one.

*sigh* I am such fail.

And yes, I know they're shittily made, but whatever, it's still Rejected. Off to care for the chitlins, see yins all at some undetermined later date.

Unless I get eaten by Cthulhu.

Also there may be pictures of me as Neil Gaiman, just so you know.

I really should be in bed right now.

Somehow I am not.

I have more icons. Lots of them are Teen Girl Squad. XD

I are such geek.

Usual routine - commenting is nice, credit is necessary.

Real update when my life ceases being boring.

Title: Wilhelmina, Alone
Fandom: Black Jewels Trilogy
Prompt: 096. Writer's Choice
Characters: Wilhelmina Benedict, Philip Alexander, others by mention
Warnings: vague implications.
Summary: Jaenelle isn't Gone - Wilhelmina knows that. But it's hard to keep faith.

Went and bought books yesterday, gained three: Elantris to check out this Branden Sanderson fellow who is writing A Memory of Light, Thief With No Shadow by Emily Gee - on a whim, sometimes those go well - and another Tanya Huff book, meaning I have one left to hunt down before I have the whole series. Dammit. Did not, however, find any of the original 7 or 8 books I was looking for. Go me.

"Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath" is extraordinarily epic. I'm kind of enjoying it, even if it's not usual Lovecraft. Ah well. So...I heard you like mudkips?

Or something like that. More fic perhaps coming later tonight, as I have nothing to do and too much ideas. I need a job. Or a life. Or some money, that'd be nice. Ahahaha.

Here I am in Math with time to kill and a laptop to kill it on...woo. I think I am getting sick, which is a bummer because I have a 10 hour commitment to work for someone on Saturday and hence will actually have money on Sunday, yaaaay. Unfortunately, this means I will not be able to complain to anyone about being sick. Man.

21 days left of school. I counted. Almost free.

There was something I wanted to say here that was actually...you know, thoughtful or whatever. I seem to have forgotten it. I wonder if this says something about me...?

Congratulations to all those getting out of collegethings shortly or who already have! Happy summer! ^___^

Well, the promised sun is finally showing up. Hooray. I think...

Dangit, I lost the thought again. Perhaps it shall return. I hope it brings my brain back with it. It's gone partying without me again. Silly thing. Pfffft.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, I really want to read some H.P. Lovecraft. This has nothing to do with anything.

1) [profile] redsilkscarf , I have an icon for you:

2) I ship Christian/Cyrano de Bergerac and desire to write fic at some point for them. That is all. *hides again*

3) I have - more fic.

Title: A Promise
Fandom: Caliban Series
Summary: Niko will not break his promises. Especially not those to his brother.

4) I'm feeling horribly vulnerable and like all my friends only put up with me because they are obligated to. Sensible me knows this is not true. However, there is a good portion of me that is very Not Sensible at all and refuses to be soothed by Sensible Reasoning. It is not a comfortable position.

5) HAPPY BIRTHDAY [profile] ersatz_iolo! MANY HAPPY RETURNS.

Sometimes Locke can be such a morbid pessimist he makes me facepalm.

And since I have nothing to do and it are raining, I do my usual and come up with PBs for my characters from various stories, and I FINALLY SUCCEEDED in finding myself a Keearh. So, that just leaves finding a really good Taine, which is haaard. I have one, but there are no pictures where he is not headbanging on a cello. Bummer. ETA: Scratch that, I have an appropriately pretty Taine. :DDD And I'm now addicted to sort-of-not-porn, aka whynotmodels.com. Ahahaha.

I feel like I've been absent from teh intarwebs lately, but I LIVE. I'm sure you were all relieved for the ceasing of spam. However, a few things of note have happened/amazing things been discovered...

1) I got sick. I am now suffering the first cold of the year. I hate these things. They always hit me harder than they should.

2) The amazing [personal profile] dame_grise introduced me to the wonderful world of "Le Chevalier D'Eon," the best fantasy/twisted historical/anime EVER. A trailer is here and the first episode (the first 8 in English, the rest in subtitled Japanese) here. After the first one, it's basically just follow the links to the rest. I am so addicted and DAMN do I have ships for it. So writing fic. My favorite characters are Maximilien Robespierre and Durand. Watch for them. At any rate, that's been one of the things that's been swallowing me. Also, teh pretty. And the story's absorbing as well...only thing is violence, there's quite a bit of swashbuckling, which I don't mind but I know some do.

3) After finally setting down the first omnibus of the Chronicles of the Cheysuli (I just couldn't get through it! Sorry. I will try again, though) books have come back into the picture full force. Most recently, two of them: Madhouse by Rob Thurman and a series, by Carol Berg (who wrote another trilogy I enjoyed. A lot).

This has been Lise, reporting from the West Coast of Nowhere. See you next time.

I amuse myself, at least.

Oh, and icons! A few.

Have fun. Icons of Le Chevalier especially Maximilien coming soon.

Don't look at me! XD

I don't even know why I'm so unhappy. I think I'm just slowly losing my mind. Not that that wasn't already happening...

This icon kind of describes my life right now. Dammit, my spoon is too big.

I need - something. I don't even know what.

Spent today down at the Waterfront with friends asking random people if they were reptilian humanoids and yelling "I'm not leaving my wife! I'm only in it for the sex!" at the top of my lungs. Maturity, watch me have it. I don't even have an excuse for myself.

Everyone should check out this guy. I don't know what he is on, but it must be really trippy.

A sample entry on the forum? Under a title "who's seen a reptillian then?"

In 1993, while sitting in the back seat of a car at a gas station in Charlotte, NC (USA), a car drove out of the parking lot and the driver made eye contact with me as he turned to pull onto the street. I noticed a figure in the seat behind him, and it was like nothing I'd ever seen before. It appeared to be human-sized or maybe a bit smaller, with a very reptilian/insectoid structure, reminding me a bit of the creature from the popular movie "Alien". I was sort of mesmerized by the thing; it appeared to be made of a sort of irridescent material, like mercury, with swirling patterns on it's skin, similar to soap bubbles in the sunlight. Most importantly, it didn't appear to be entirely solid. It was translucent. As I was staring at this thing, it turned its head and stared at me as if it took great delight in the fact that I had seen it. At that moment I noticed two protrusions from the creature's front side, which appeared to be tubes about the size of a vacuum cleaner hose, passing into the back side of the driver's seat in the car. I had the impression that it was somehow attached to the driver's spine, like a parasite of some type. I've only mentioned this to a few people, and I am not aware of anyone that has seen such a thing before. The worst of that experience was my feeling of helplessness, and my concern for the life of the driver of that car.

Why the hell there is school tomorrow. I think it should decide not to happen. I wish one could blackmail school - not the school board, just school. So it would get scared and hide and no one would be able to teach because they wouldn't know where the school was. God, I think I'm going insane. I don't know what is wrong with my brain this week - month...year... life...

Meh. I have a strange feeling like I should be doing something, but have no idea what it is. Finished Lucifer's Hammer today...enjoyed it, even if it was typical apocalypse fiction fare. I kind of wish they'd focused more on the immediate effects of the comet strike, but I did enjoy the portrayal of a post-apocalyptic human society. Was interesting. I still liked "By the Waters of Babylon" better, though. Read that today...good story.

Anyway. Must start Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell - have been meaning to read it for months.

Hopefully brain will be back tomorrow. Hopefully.

Or at least by Tuesday. Biology tests not for the win. *knucklebite*

Just received this review on the Perrin/Mat story I wrote a couple weeks back...

"It was a good story, I do compliment you on that. I think this is ridiculous and I know it's hard to come up with story lines but come on! Mat and Perrin... (choking sound) If you have read the Wheel Of Time Series by Robert Jordan, you obviously know that Mat is in love with Tuon and Perrin is married to Faile. I just think this is a really bad couple. Sorry for the Critisim but it's my opinion."

Hon, I think you missed a stop sign somewhere back there...

Am I the only one who finds this worthy of a bit of wtfery?

Still not as ridiculous as those people who took my Balto fanfiction seriously...especially after I explained twice that it wasn't meant to be. *blink*

Ah well. Back to writing Black Jewels Trilogy darkfic. :D Funtimes.

I spent way too much money today! Whee!

But got good books...so that's okay.

Anyway. I found the pretty editions of Daughter of the Blood and Queen of the Darkness but not, it would seem, Heir to the Shadows. Huh. Pity. I also god Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison, Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven and some other guy, Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier, Children of Men by PD James, Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman, The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold, Beyond the Pale by Mark Anthony and The Magician's Guild by Trudi Canavan.

And now I am well and truly broke, but very happy. And have an even longer list of books to read, yay!

I want to call someone but everyone is seeming to be conspicuously absent. Meh, absent people. Quit being that way. D:
