chickfight , which you should totally join and vote on, by the way, it looks like it will be awesome, and I just...felt like it. So I thought I would go ahead and go for it. (Go the hell for it? I don't know.) But anyway.
Match! Silmarillion vs. A Song of Ice and Fire because that is my favorite crossover ever, and within that, "Starks" vs. "Lannisters," and Noldor vs. Sindar and Humans because apparently I suck at coming up with Sindar names. Shhh. BUT ANYWAY. Behind the cut are the lists, and I'm going to attempt bravely to match them up randomly, and we'll see who gets to the Final Four.

CARANTHIR VS. TURGON! Epic faceoff! The tense Nolofinwean across his pragmatic yet brutal cousin! Turgon may have faced down a Balrog in his last moments, but Caranthir's family is known for being better than (almost) anyone with a sword...
FEANOR VS. IDRIL! The ultimate patriarch versus the clever blonde! No wisecracks about this one, though, for Idril can see into the deepest (and darkest) of hearts and is one smart cookie to boot! But is she smart enough and quick enough to outwit Feanor's +22 Charisma?
FINGOLFIN VS. GALADRIEL! Both with a Dark Lord fought off to their name, if not beaten, Fingolfin and his niece face off! Galadriel's Jedi mind powers are unparalleled by any other, but Fingolfin can put the hurtin' on Morgoth himself. Sure to be an exciting face-off of wills!
FINROD VS. GIL-GALAD! Terminally noble and dead before their time, both Gil-Galad and Finrod return briefly to appear in the ring. Dead or not, though, these elven kings still have plenty enough badass to make their match a tense one!
CURUFIN VS. CELEBRIMBOR! Father versus son, both tenacious spirits and well renowned fighters, will the hammer or the sword triumph in this fight to the pain? Curufin has earned his infamy well for his lack of mercy and refusal to step down from any challenge, but will he meet his match in his only son?
FINGON VS. AMBARUSSA! Fingolfin's famed eldest son against the youngest twin sons of Feanor! Two against one might not be counted fair by many, but the twins have agreed to fight with a slight handicap or loss of the use of one arm - and few observers have seen the former High King fight. In badass cred, though, the odds are looking very close between these two sets.
AREDHEL VS. MAEDHROS! Who would pit a lady against a blooded warrior, the uninitiated might cry, but the lady Aredhel is not just a lady. Well trained with bow and knives, Aredhel faces all situations with admirable bravery, and has been known to best opponents several times her size! Underestimate at your own risk, ladies and gentlemen; for all of Maedhros' famous ambidexterity, she may be too quick for her cousin!
MAGLOR VS. CELEGORM! Brother against brother, musician versus hunter, but the outcome here may not be as predictable as expected. Maglor has excelled in previous matches, and the power of his voice may be enough to overcome Celegorm's strength in muscle! A match to watch for sure, ladies and gentlemen!

GREGOR CLEGANE VS. JOFFREY BARATHEON! Monster vs. Monster! The Mountain That Rides vs. The Brat Who Kills Kittens! Odds on this one don't look good for the young prince, as the elder Clegane already has experience with killing young princes...but we'll see, it might be that a surprise upset ends up with Gregor Clegane on the ground!
ASHA GREYJOY VS. EURON GREYJOY! The Greyjoy family dukes it out! Don't underestimate Asha, who has been known to beat off several favored men in preliminary matches...armed with her customary hatchet, the female reaver just might manage to put out the Crow's other eye!
TYWIN LANNISTER VS. CERSEI LANNISTER! Lannister vs. Lannister - quite a few family battles going on here! Well, Tywin is known for his ruthless nature, but he just might meet his match in his daughter! Cersei Lannister is a plotter and a planner, and she just might have a surprise in store for her own father, who did marry her to Robert Baratheon, an action which she never favored...
MELISANDRE OF ASSHAI VS. SANDOR CLEGANE! Aha! The Priestess of Fire vs. the notoriously fire-phobic Hound! While few to none are the Hound's equal in battle, the priestess's mystifying gift for controlling fire just might have him rolling over in surrender! Watch these two closely to see if the Hound gives Melisandre a taste of her own medicine - or ends up burned again!
LORAS TYRELL VS. TYRION LANNISTER! The smart-mouthed dwarf against the fabled Knight of Flowers! Which will win, the words or the sword? Loras Tyrell has been known to be hotheaded and foolish when angered, and no one is better at raising the ire of many respected nobles...Tyrion may be just the half-man needed for Loras to lose his cool and make a fatal mistake!
SHIERA SEASTAR VS. PETYR BAELISH! Two clever, devious individuals are sure to create a spicy match. Will the notoriously sensual Seastar manage to win over the curiously celibate Lord Baelish? Or will his chessmastering ways overwhelm her forceful personality?
VARYS VS. JAIME LANNISTER! While the Eunuch may look like a clear loser in this matchup, it remains to be seen who will defeat who. No one has seen Jaime Lannister fight with his new golden hand, and all are anticipating his debut in what may end up being a battle of wits with the Red Keep's finest spymaster - some say, in decades.
BRONN VS. ROOSE BOLTON! Two ruthless mercenaries face off, but which skill will win? The newly knighted Bronn of the Blackwater or the Leech Lord of the Dreadfort? Bronn is expected to make a fine showing, but the experience and cunning of Roose Bolton may be his undoing in a man more brawn than brains...at least in appaerance.
