I just had a thought. Is there a single character I can think of who doesn't have daddy issues? I mean. Seriously.

Every single fucking one.

I'm pretty sure tomboy_typist was the one who pointed out to me besides that not only does every Fëanorian ever have daddy issues with Fëanor, or Fëanor have daddy issues with Finwë, freaking Morgoth has the equivalent of daddy issues with Eru.

I mean, seriously. Most epic temper tantrum ever because daddy didn't like his music.

I'm just saying.

On another note, this picture not only makes me want my very own Trent Reznor, it also gives me a terrible and awfully impermissible craving for Celegorm in bondage.

Daddy (or Mommy) Issues are a very common narrative tool. It might be writers more than you in particular, Lise.

Yeah, that's what I meant - I guess I just didn't realize how common until I was thinking about it last night.
