ANOTHER BOOK UPDATE!!!
After You'd Gone - Maggie o'Farrell. This book was, as
ersatz_iolo put it, gorgeous and heartbreaking. It was beautiful, the story was captivating and it was absolutely heart-wrenching. Read it read it read it.
1984 - George Orwell. Geez, but this book was creepy. I didn't like it that much, actually. I actually didn't find it as awesomely disturbing as
Brave New World - Aldous Huxley. This book was made of complete and total win. I loved the ending, loved the writing, the world he created was absolutely fascinating and very, very scary. I adored this book and it is basically a must read for everyone.
A Clockwork Orange - Anthony Burgess. This book was really bizarre. Really, really, bizarre. But really, really good. The slang took a while to catch on, but if you just let the words flow over you it's a lovely book in it's own way. The way the brutality is softened just by the view of the main character is fascinating, and the use of a narrator this obviously biased is very effective.
Lord of the Flies - William Golding. I can't wait to discuss this book in school. That is all.
That's actually all I can remember right now. But anyway, I'm going to go...place. Yeah. That.
Black Jewels Trilogy is love. I'm going to write some Aaron/Kalush maybe. And perhaps some more Daemon/Jaenelle. And Karlafic, because she needs more love.
Also, considering posting more of the story. Would anyone be interested?
Totally psyched for Halloween! Just wait until you see the pictures...:D
