1. Best book of 2007
Dammit, a lot of them. I'd have to say author instead and for that it would be Neil Gaiman...
Though The Lies of Locke Lamora was delicious, as was Nightlife...and Moonshine...and Archangel...and Carol Berg...and Kelley Armstrong, Robin Hobb, Anne Bishop...

I'm sure you get my drift.

2. Worst book of 2007

See, I hate these, because when I hate a book I stop reading it. But I think it would have to be Oliver Twist. I cannot stand Dickens's writing.

3. Book you anticipated the most that lived up to your expectations
I didn't really anticipate any books this year...

4. Book you anticipated the most that completely failed
Either Deathly Hallows or possibly any of the Sara Douglass books...

5. Guilty Pleasure book you read in 2007
Ummm...none really. Probably Some Thriller, but I'm not too embarrassed about that.

6. Most scholarly book you read in 2007

...define scholarly.

7. Book you STILL haven't read as of 2007
Ummm...all of them? A Game of Thrones is the big one...You get the whole list soon.

8. Book you look forward to reading most in 2008
Tangled Webs! Madhouse! All the books on my bookshelf I haven't gotten to yet!

Yeah.

So,
[profile] i_have_a_spork...the Watch series is good? You'd recommend it?

I've looked at it before but I can't make up my mind...

From: [identity profile] i-have-a-spork.livejournal.com

The story of the watch books so far is...

A friend of a friend lends them to my friend and...
She freaks out over them and buys them all, lending the 1st one to me and...
I freak out over them, buying them all NEW which I do... well I bought 6 books new out of the 150 I read this year. That infrequently. And...
My 1st book travels the family Dad-> Mum -> Brother and...
Leaves me for a work friend, who is loving it currently...
My parents and brother buy their own sets and...
My parents give the set away to two set of relatives at Xmas.

It's a pyramid scheme of book love XD

Seriously, I adore them. You should give book one a try anyway. If you like great plot and writing, dark heroes, no clear divide between good and evil and overall a fantastic idea driving the world.

But then I am slightly biased.

:D
