On chess? Any particular reason for it? ...well, ah. If I must admit, I have never been a particular...fan of it. I'm not very good. I seem to lack the long term vision to predict my opponent's moves, and it does take so long. I prefer rather more - dynamic games. Cribbage is enjoyable, however. Checkers is satisfying, but only when I win.

But I suppose either way, I would enjoy a battle of wits with anyone intelligent to conduct themselves without resorting to any - ham-handed measures, and those persons have been far too few of late. I have not actually met any in some time.

I would like to clarify, also, that there was no 'capturing' or 'kidnapping' involved. She walked into Nargothrond, it wasn't as though we dragged her there. And was treated as an honored guest the whole time. I think it is important that this be generally understood.
