First things first, HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] tomboy_typist! Much love and sweetness to you, and by god, expect some KT/ASOIAF fic coming over your way soon.

You know it will inevitably involve Sandor/Phedre, I cannot lie. &hearts &hearts &hearts

I amuse myself too much sometimes. I need to update that more often. Though some of the entries are definitely funnier than others.

I just couldn't resist. In other news, Naomi Novik appears to have written a crossover in which Jaime Lannister fights Temeraire the dragon, and it is the best thing ever. No, seriously. I think I need to start watching her journal, just because. ---omg. See for yourself, by all means AND THEN GO VOTE TEMERAIRE seriously folks, Jaime's cool and all, but he ain't got nothing on the dragon.

There is American Idol. And Cthulhu. And just guys, I cannot say. It is full of perfect.

Less full of perfect is my mood, which still sucks, and the fact that votes on Fandom Madness have been steadily declining. :( I made the difficult decision to close the last poll and move to the next round, but I want to whine terribly. There aren't even that many votes anymore! It's really fun at least for me! Campaign in the comments!

/done.

Ties were between Aredhel and Maglor and Earendil and Maeglin; Aredhel and Maeglin both continued. Sandor got knocked out by Tywin, which is the only result I'm saddened by this time. But not surprised. XD Tywin is a hardass.

Finally, I would like to point out that more of the epic AU is up on my fic journal, and that I may have 14 pages of Curufin FST combined with fic, and that I'm incredibly excited about my Silmarillion adaptation of "East of the Sun and West of the Moon" but shhh. I still have a lot to do.

A lot to do here meaning nothing productive, pfffft.

NOLDOR
1. Feanor
2. Galadriel
3. Curufin
4. Aredhel

SINDAR
1. Maeglin
2. Lúthien Tinuviel
3. Melian
4. Haleth

"STARKS"
1. Robb Stark
2. Jon Snow
3. Brienne of Tarth
4. Arya Stark

"LANNISTERS"
1. Gregor Clegane
2. Tywin Lannister
3. Petyr Baelish
4. Jaime Lannister

FEANOR VS. GALADRIEL! In a match for the ages, Feanor faces his powerfully gifted niece as a direct antagonist. While Galadriel has defied her uncle before, can she possibly face him down in combat? Or will this prove to be the last round for Finarfin's daughter? Two of the greatest - or most notorious - Noldor of all time will battle it out in the ring for the ULTIMATE TITLE.

CURUFIN VS. AREDHEL! Curufin, having fought down his son and brothers, now faces Aredhel, with two strong victories of her own to her name. He will need every ounce of his cunning and intelligence to win, but it's possible that even so he may stumble at a crucial moment...and Aredhel is no easy kill.

[Poll #1542610]

GREGOR CLEGANE VS. TYWIN LANNISTER! Gregor Clegane faces the greatest - perhaps only challenge to his streak of definite wins so far with his employer, that dangerously quick lieutenant, Tywin Lannister. Tywin proved himself last against Gregor's own brother, but will the Mountain be too much for him? Or will the unstoppable Clegane force stop here?

PETYR BAELISH VS. JAIME LANNISTER! Petyr Baelish faces a real fight against the Kingslayer, Jaime Lannister, but this clever mockingbird has been able to work out of a tight spot before...the panel is eager to see if he can manage it again, or if Jaime will manage to pin him down for good!

[Poll #1542611]

<ahref="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/maeglin">MAEGLIN! VS. LUTHIEN! Maeglin narrowly beat his last opponent, but he may not be so lucky this time. Luthien has been a force to contend with in all rounds so far. However, will she manage to dazzle Maeglin, already obsessed with his own love interest? Maeglin is quick on his feet and not one to underestimate, and signs suggest that Luthien may be overconfident...an upset is unlikely, but always possible.

MELIAN VS. HALETH! Melian faces her second to last challenge before the final match of each bracket to decide who proceeds to the final four. But does she have the strength remaining to defeat Haleth, the warrior maiden who has defeated all opponents thus far more than soundly? It remains to be seen, but for certain these two ladies should be watched closely. For all Melian's power, she may be surprised by what determination can do.

[Poll #1542612]

ROBB STARK VS. JON SNOW! Robb faces his bastard brother in what may be his most difficult match yet. After a nervewracking fight with Theon Greyjoy, he may not be ready to face another close friend and brother. While Jon is older and faster, Robb is stronger and more accustomed to the sort of fighting that's been seen so far...but it's difficult to say what Stark honor will dictate must be done in this third round match.

BRIENNE OF TARTH! VS ARYA STARK! Arya faces a real lady knight in full armor, and this time her swiftness and assassin's skills may not be enough to save her. However, Brienne has promised to protect Arya...will concern for her own life override that worry? And even if it does, will it slow her enough that Arya may overcome Brienne's massive advantage?

[Poll #1542613]

Next round I'm totally going to start writing drabbles. >>;; I will not be able to help it at that point.

ETA: ...there is a health care debate going on on my flist. I'm going to pretend I didn't see it and I'm definitely not clicking on the cut.

I'd rather no one started in here, either. I just don't have the energy.

MOAR CAPSLOCK

PERSONALLY I THINK THIS FANDOM MADNESS STUFF IS PRETTY DAMN COOL. EVEN IF I STILL DON'T COMPREHEND THE AR VOTES.

CTHULHU WOULD PWN THEM ALL. SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Re: MOAR CAPSLOCK

AR IS KICKASS AWESOME, DOOD. FOR SERIOUSLY. SHE KICKS ASSSS LIKE ALL OF FINGOLFIN'S KIDS REALLY.

WELL OF COURSE CTHULHU WOULD PWN ANYONE SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Oops, I forgot to campaign. D: I kind of like everyone though so I'm happy whoever wins. Robb is going to be SO TRAUMATISED by the end of this that he'll probably fall on his own sword in guilt (mother, foster brother, half brother, the poor kid).

And holy fuck you updated a ton on me! I have to make myself go and do work today but I'll use the promise of reading it as an incentive.

ffffffsnort I love the Cthulhu blog, it is like if I, Cthulhu was continuous. And the Cthulhu sausages are so cute, just like the Nanapus! And oh Temeraire, I am going to die. Twenty-ton kitten, omg. :DDDDDDD

Well, Robb was finally beaten so I suppose he will be okay. If still dead. D:

I did and I actually have more in reserve. >> the plot is thickening, though! Either you will like it or it will jump the shark, we shall see.

I think the Cthulhu sausages are cute but Cthulhu FINDS THEM DEMEANING. The Nanapus is the best. If we are thinking of the same things.

Temeraire the twenty-ton kitten is my new favorite thing. Or best friend. But I would want to put him on my lap and that wouldn't work.

This is Nanapus, right? (I love Superbowl ads so very very much!)

I will admit, most of my voting here was, er, FEMINIST. Yes. Girls can pawnz boys. Totally. ^^ (And then I tried to, er, either be realist or, er, just pick the one I liked more. Or wanted to win more. Er.)

And THANK YOU ILU ILU AND I WILL LOOK FORWARD TO IT. &hearts &hearts &hearts

"Naomi Novik appears to have written a crossover in which Jaime Lannister fights Temeraire the dragon, and it is the best thing ever." That's awesome!
